Owner Joe Young responded but didn’t address her questions. So King sent a couple more notes. Suddenly, the exchange turned hostile.
“(Expletive) off please,” Young wrote to King, who provided the Tribune with copies of the emails. “I have real work to do.”
King later included parts of the January conversation in a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois. She also went online to ask whether others had similar experiences with Young’s Lakeview studio, Yoga for the People.
“I was shocked that someone representing themselves as a customer service person would use that kind of language towards a potential customer,” King said. “It seemed to come out of nowhere and escalate fairly quickly.” Continue reading >>
